The Construction Productivity Taskforce, which draws from the construction industry expertise at organizations like British Land, Bryden Wood, BAE systems, Alinea, Cast, Mace Morrisroe, SOM, Turner and Townsend, and many are involved in the research in the private sector construction playbook.
The Taskforce mentioned, “The construction industry needs to address issues and challenges they face on an essential basis to increase the productivity graph. Its facilities the skills shortage to drive the use of resources more effectively and find money to invest in a highly sustainable manner to meet the net zero commitments.”
Research at Oxford Economics by Trust and Productivity done by Graham Robinson, highlights the UK construction productivity growth falling by an average of 0.6% every year from 1997 and 2019.
The productivity growth across the UK economy and manufacturing sector observed 3.9% overall growth.
